Soapbox

From John G0RDO, SKCC #2133T

Enjoyable couple of hours on CW. I got 8 QSO's in the log and many thanks to W5ZR/Bert, F5DE/Bernard, LW3EX/Walt and UW2ZO/Igor on 15m, OK2VWB/Vasek, OH5FNI/Timo, AA4H/Carl on 20m and G3ZRJ/Tony just up the road (24 miles north) on 40m.

Rig TS-440SAT, 100 watts to a Cushcraft MA6V, and a home brew 20ft tall base loaded fishing pole vertical for 40m. Key used was a neat Folding Arm key probably around the

1910's.

My first SKSE. Lot of fun. Still a thrill when DX calls you

even after almost 50 years.

From Bernard F5DE, SKCC #6247T

As usual I really enjoyed this little event.

Many thanks to PA2PCH on 5 bands ! W5ZR, N8KR, W3NP and K8NS on 2 bands, G0RDO, F8FFI/qrp, NP3CW, PA1FOX, WB2UWU, DJ7AQ (NM), LW3EX, K5EWJ, VE3DTI and GM3ZDH on one band.

CT1GFQ was contacted a bit too late, just one minute after the end of the event, sorry Carlos, but a good QSO for the Brag challenge, hi !

Best 73 to everybody and see you all next time with a great pleasure !

From Mike K8NS, SKCC #10580T

Lightning storms kept me off the air until 20:34 utc. Bands quite noisy. Worked Bernard F5DE on 15 and 20m. 73 es tnx qso to all.

From Jose VE3DTI, SKCC #7020C

Propagation was erratic here up North. Nevertheless I managed 3 QSOs in 20m, with stations in 3 different states. Then towards the end I decided to try 15m. Very faint there I heard Bernard F5DE's calling CQ. My QRP signal at his QTH must have been dismal (he reported my RST as 239) and it is entirely to Bernard's credit if we eventually managed to complete the QSO. My rig was the KX3 at 5W with a 43 endfed vertical. My key was the tiny PPK. TU es 73 to all, 73 de Jose VE3DTI.
