Soapbox

From John G0RDO, SKCC #2133T

Two hours of fun - I worked stations in FL, MI, MN, NJ, NY, RI, PR, FRA, HUN & SCO. Not many from Europe about.

Used my TS-440S with a sloping Dipole and a Marconi PS No213A morse key.

73. John / G0RDO / SKCC 2133T

From Joe KD2JC, SKCC #710S

Spent about an hour and a half. Enjoyable as always. Worked GM3ZDH (Bob) twice, 20 and 10 meters, EA3NO (Lluis) and Julio, NP3CW. The rest were stateside. Thanks and 73

From Rick WU1V, SKCC #9293T

Just got on for the last hour of the spring but had fun. My QRP sigs made it across the pond to France, also to Midwest, Northeast and Southeast USA. Haven't done many sprints in the last few months so this was a nice change of pace. 72 all, Rick

From Bernard F5DE, SKCC #6247T

Another nice SKS-E occured with eleven countries worked : GM, W, EA, KP4, KL7, DL, HA, VE, YO, G and EI.

Fb to have had a contact with QRP stations YO3FVR on 20 m and EI3HIB on 40 m.

GM3ZDH was contacted on three bands : 80, 40 and 20 m.

As often in this event I used my good old bug keys Vibroplex Original for 12 wpm, Lionel J36 for 17 wpm, and of course the big NATO hand-key for QRS operation.

Many thanks to all of you SKCC'ers thus making a friendly event as usual.

Sorry for not submitting an ADIF logfile but quite 50 years after getting my callsign (1964 april the 14th !), I am always using the old way CW traffic : hand key, paper and pencil as a log book, hi !

From Finn WB2UWU, SKCC #1708

Adjusted the T and C to get credit for the one S I have.

As always, using the WWII Japanese key a coworker gave to me after his tour of duty in Japan. I wish I had the history of

the key from 1939 when it was made until 1945. Did it send any messages harmful to US troops in that time? I hope not. 73, Finn WB2UWU

From Larry AH6AX, SKCC #11165T

Please remove my score from the March SKS-E.. I incorrectly entered my APRIL score into the March SKS-E.

This was my first SKS-E - and I enjoyed 'playing'! Will be back for more!

From Dave W3NP, SKCC #3182S

Got a late start due to mandatory yardwork (XYL) HI! Worked Lluis EA3NO and Bob GM3ZDH on 2 bands. Condx were pretty good.

Rig: K3 @ 100 watts to the KLM KT-34A and my keys this time were the Vibroplex Presentation (1956) bug and the Navy Flameproof from WW2. 73 de West Virginia.

From Doug N3PDT, SKCC #6861T

Actually worked a EU station this time.

From Catalin YO3FVR, SKCC #5909

Work with FT-817ND and MAAS HVT-400 whip antenna.

From Bob WL7WH, SKCC #2940T

Not much time to operate and hope to do better the next time...as usual it was fun!!!

From Bob GM3ZDH, SKCC #6027T

Nice conditions for the first summertime SKSE. Great fun and a rewarding couple of hours.

From BOB AA6AC, SKCC #6276T

DID NOT hear much on this SKSE perhaps the time had something to do with it. 1900/2100Z hunted 10/15m.

Perhaps better next month. SEE ya in WES 12/13 APRIL.

AA6AC Bob SOCAL 6276T

From Jerry K6III, SKCC #6830S

Difficult propagation condx. Only logged WD6R on 20M

From JULIO NP3CW, SKCC #2632T

Excellent propagation on this Event.

Good luck to all.

From Jon K1NV, SKCC #2609T

It was good to be back in Nevada for a EuroSprint. All but one QSO was on 10M, but no signals were heard from Europe.

There is no scoring slot for "S" stations on the template, but I worked five of the guys who have an "S" with their numbers. Maybe that will be added for future sprints.

Rig was an FT-450 to a 5-BTV vertical bolted to a fence (the dipole blew down in the wind).

From Art WK2S, SKCC #9434S

A modest effort but I had fun.

From Rick K0KEX, SKCC #5220S

Made two great contacts..Lluis EA3NO 15M & Bob GM3ZDH 10M

It's spring in the mid-west, busy time recovering from a long winter...73 Rick

From JOHN K8BAT, SKCC #10395T

Not a lot of contacts, but was thrilled to hear Scotland.

From Brian VE5CUL, SKCC #1672T

Thanks for the QSO Ted - K8AQM. I hadn't paid attention to the SKSE until now but I will mark it on my calendar and be back again. 73 - Brian.

From Alex PA1FOX, SKCC #8265T

Unfortunately my antenna tuner is toasted. I have a new band switch to fit in, but it was not ready for SKSE. I only could RX this time.

I hope to be back to business in the next SKSE.

From Lluis EA3NO, SKCC #6653T

Tnx, Lluis 6653T

From Gerald WA5AFD, SKCC #8150T

Just got in the last hour. Band conditions not good but was able to contact 2 new DX members on 15 meters. Frank HB9DCL had a good signal for a long time. Also thanks to Giulio IK2DED for hearing my 100 watts and vertical antenna. Thanks to all! 73
