From Finn WB2UWU, SKCC #1708

Only had a short time to operate, but appreciated the selection : HB9DAX, G0RDO, F4FGB, WS8K, thanks all.

Why the difference between UK and France signals ?

The several French stations I have worked were always loud and clear. The few UK stations I have worked were always down in the mud. Anyway, fun as always, and thanks to the SKCC organizers who make it happen.

From Dave W3NP, SKCC #3182S

I didn't have a lot of time this month - busy afternoon here. But I enjoyed the contacts I made. Used the K3 at 100 watts into the KLM KT-34A. Keys were the Vibroplex Presentation bug from 1956 and a WW2 Navy Flameproof. 73 de West Virginia.

From BOB AA6AC, SKCC #6276T

10 meters nil at least at my QTH (SOCAL). 15m not much better. 1 QSO 15m. 4 QSO 20m. DID NOT hear any Europe this sprint. BUT was hunting. Maybe better in APRIL 2014.

Only caught the last hour of SKSE this month but enjoyed the hour and conditions were favourable.

From John G0RDO, SKCC #2133T

Had fun using a TS-440S that I have just bought back to life. A great rig with a fine receiver, just need a CW filter now HI. Plugged into it was a Marconi PS No213A big straight key.

First serious (?) entry into a SKSE and most enjoyable !

This was my first Eurosprint. I started in the middle inadvertently when asking a sked of G0RDO and then realized he was in the sprint. Had a great time.

From Bernard F5DE, SKCC #6247T

Another time my pleasure to have friendly SKCC contacts, thanks to the monthly SKS-E event !

Thank you all and see you next time !

From Alex PA1FOX, SKCC #8265T

This time, I only was active for the last half hour. My ATU is not fixed yet, so I was still working with crocodile clamp connections. After the regular contact with my friend Bernard, F5DE, on 40m I switched to 20m. A small pileup occurred which was a special experience for me.

Tnx, guys,

Alex

Good contest. Heard or worked several EU stations this time.

This seems to be becoming a 20M only contest.

I called CQ many times on 10M and 40M to no avail.

It's tough when you get called from a non-SKCC station who doesn't realize there is a contest going.

I try to be polite as I hurry them along, but the contester in me is screaming from within.

Perhaps 25 bonus points ought to be issued to any SKCC member who passes along the SKCC web

address to a non-SKCC member during a contest.

It was good to hear the guys from France coming through so nicely this month (F6HKA,F4FGB, but no F5DE).

Also noteworthy was N1WPU/QRPP who I worked from Maine. He was 539. I'm curious about his power level.

Do Senators count as 15-points in this contest? I count them as T's worth 10-points, per the entry form.

That was fun. Catch you guys in the next event.

73,

Tim, WS8K

Please, cancel the previous entry made by mistake on 6th of March 2014 !!! I didn't pay attention to the Event field. I will submit the log for 3rd of April when the event title will be available.

Sorry for the mistake, best 73! de YO3FVR
