Soapbox

From Rick WU1V, SKCC #9293T

Only worked 20 meters. Band conditions here in Massachusetts weren't that great, only 9 contacts in 2 hours and only 2 DX stations worked. I appreciate moving the event hours back one hour, gave me an opportunity to work more stations, if only the band had cooperated.

From Gerald WA5AFD, SKCC #8150T

DX conditions were not good for me and only had about an hour available. Pablo, KP4SJ had great signal from PR. Met some new members and look forward to next time. 73 and thanks to all.

From Joerg DL9YCS, SKCC #7150T

The bands were completely dead :-(

Waiting for next WES and SKSE !

73 Joerg

From Rick K0KEX, SKCC #5220T

Taking a break from a painting project after hearing KP4SJ, Pablo calling CQ on 10M..."YES I had the volume turned up to listen while working" A quick check on 20M netted Tom W0INS & Julio NP3CW....The painting took precedence...I am anxious to see the posts from others to see what I missed....

FYI: the new paint job looks great...73 Rick

From Gabor S57WJ, SKCC #7979T

The winter conditions are not good for evening DX QSO's on HF.

From Jim AF3Z, SKCC #3034T

This was my first SKSE and hoped for better propagation to Europe. Tried 10, 15, 20 and 40 meters; most of my contacts were on 20. Puerto Rico was as close as I got to Europe :-). I did hear Feco, HA8KW, during the last 10 minutes or so around 7.029 mhz, but wasn't able to get through to him. Thanks & 73, Jim, AF3Z

From Joe W1HFF, SKCC #6309

Conditions were so bad, I thought my antenna had blown down in the hurricane. Two QSOs...one on 40 and one on 20. Didn't hear much activity at all. Thanks to both of my contacts.

From Matt N2EIN, SKCC #6742T

My G5RV-Lite antenna came down during "Sandy", but I put it back up (3 feet higher) in time for SKS-E. There were some strong US signals, but I decided to work only DX for SKS-E, and only found Pablo and Julio in PR on 10 meters and 20 meters (both 599 to PA). Best to all,

N3EIN Ten-Tec Century 21/G5RV-Lite/SKCC Key

From Julio NP3CW, SKCC #2632T

On this #19 SKS-Euro we had good propagation on 10 and 20 meters. I saw many EU DX on Sked Page but unable to hear them. Made only 7 DX entities including F,G,EA,VK4,S57,VE.

Tried 2 times a QSO with HA8KW Feco, I got his report but he did not copy me. Made 15 diferent states. Thanks to all stations that worked me, Sri for the ones I did not copy due to QRN. Included here a photo of my antennas. Good luck. 73 Julio NP3CW

From PABLO KP4SJ, SKCC #8843T

Thanks to all that called me in 10 & 20 meters. ConDX didn't let me work my friends from Europe. Hope next time I can work them.

From Szabi VA2FDT, SKCC #9505

Worked mostly on 20m, did not hear too much stations. See you next time! 73/72 Szabi.

From Jon K1NV, SKCC #2609T

I only had short time to operate. Nothing heard on 10M and 15M. Only a couple of USA stations on 20M. I worked MO and FL. I guess working Florida from CA is kinda like working Europe from the east coast. I hope others here had better luck.

From Finn WB2UWU, SKCC #1708

Omni-d at 80 Watts, WW2 Japanese SK, 5-band vertical with a few radials pointed to EU, Thank you Thomas and enjoy your trip to USA. 73 Finn

From ROM F4FGB, SKCC #9648

Good moment,5 OMs contacted on 80m, but bad propagation on 20m only contacted NP3CW.

73s all

Lots of fun but no luck reaching Europe that event.

From Feco HA8KW, SKCC #3447T

CONDX on higher bands (20m and upper) totally closed just half an hour before SKSE... Remaining usable bands (40m and 80m was very noisy so it was not an easy job to remain relaxed. CONDX was so awful that next time it must be just better... HI. 73, Feco HA8KW 3447T

From Bernard F5DE, SKCC #6247T

Only 80 m and 40 m were usable for this SKS-E.

Glad to be called by John VK4TJ on 40 m, also QSO Julio NP3CW and the only US station Ed K1EDG on same band.

All other contacts were with EU stations.

Was called by three non members, giving them SKCC link, maybe future members ? Who knows...

From RAY WB0PYF, SKCC #5169T

Band conditions were poor hr, good to hear a few DX skcc stations.

From Bob GM3ZDH, SKCC #6027

Not a thing on higher bands. 40 not much good. Thank goodness for 80 this time round.
