Another nice Sprint. Nice to hear some DX on 20. Other bands nil. Had to cut event short. Carbon monoxide detector went off. Probably was bad battery. Thanks to all. 73

From Rick WU1V, SKCC #9293T

Using my trusty Kenwood TS-830S 90 watts to 20M dipole up 40 feet. Nothing fancy, but gets the job done.

I had to work this afternoon so only got in for the last hour. It was nice that there was a 15-minute extension at QRS, which gave me an opportunity to work and greet one of our newest members, Romain F4FGB in France, his first sprint. All in all it was enjoyable. 73 to all, Rick

Hello.

Tried 80 and 40 mtrs first with no results.

Made 23 QSO's in 15 mtrs and one QSO in 20 Mtrs

Made 12 DXCC entities,Only 3 states, MD, NJ and VA.

Made 12 members and 12 non members. Antenna was a log periodic T6 from Tennadyne @ 30 ft up.

Good luck to all.

Once again it was fun and EU opened up for the first hour, but then went dead and USA was not working for me the entire time.

Thanks to all who heard me and had a qso.............Bob

From Jon K1NV, SKCC #2609T

The bands were in better shape than last month. I heard Puerto Rico on 15M, but he was gone by the time I got my antenna tuned. There was no activity on 10M although a few beacons were in evidence. 20M was in decent shape to Europe from northern CA this time and I managed QSO's with S57WJ, KD2JC, F5JWH, HA8KW, and F5PKR. Other European stations were heard weakly but no other QSO's were made.

From Peter AK3X, SKCC #7217T

I happened to turn on my 15M rig, and heard F5JWH working another F station.. both were fairly strong, but they could not hear me. Tuned up a ways and worked Julio, NP3CW who had a very nice signal in MD. Then it was back to yard work and herding cats. I just this evening realized that this was an SKS-E event, so I am submitting my score. I see Julio did very well indeed. Congrats. My rig - an obscure, very rare, and magical KD1JV design called the MS-15, running 4 watts to a 40 meter inverted V at 27' through an Emtech ZM-2 balanced tuner and the proverbial "speaker wire" feedline. I have a real antenna with a real open wire feedline that I am too lazy to put up, expecially since this monstrosity works so well. 73/72 to all.

From PHIL F5JWH, SKCC #8069T

Thanks to all SKCC's, not so good propagation but some DX with LW3EX, WL7WH, K1NV. Hope to see you in the next WES. 73's Philippe.

From Gabor S57WJ, SKCC #7979T

It was my best SKSE so far. The number of DXCC's was a bit less but I made the highest number of QSO's so far thanks to the additional 15/15 minutes. Signals from USA were very weak but US members were calling me even after the end of event.

From Zdravko YU7DZ, SKCC #7983T

Old Omni-D at 80 watts to 5 band vertical with four overhead radials, Japanese WW2 key. I must have a 'long' skip bypassing G-land and hitting F-land. HIHI

From Kare YU7AE, SKCC #5790T

Nice activity and thanks for 2x 15min. Working from my /p location with KNE QRP-99 3 band transceiver, Collins KY-5033 key (an/prc-515), antenna is W3DZZ abt 5m agl. 73 and cul in next SKCC activity.

Good conditions to EU on 21MHz and to NA on 28MHz. Even magic E´s - TEP link on 50MHz over states, could work KL7NO, Al (BP54)... for the first time in ages)))

Thanks all for the Q´s, BCNU on next WES - ..-

73, Walt.-

From OLIVIER F5PKR, SKCC #9400

From Bernard F5DE, SKCC #6247T

Another friendly event, of course.

It was a very nice idea to have two 15 minutes more periods where I found five stations worked at a QRS speed.

One more time three keys were used, a German Baumuster hand key for QRS, and two bugs (Vibroplex Original and Lionel J-36) tuned for slow speed for one and a bit more for the other, but no QRQ, hi !

I was very glad to have nice 26 QSO with 14 countries and to be called by WL7WH from Anchorage.

Five bands were activated from 80 m to 10 m.

See you all soon for brag QSO and next WES !

73 from France.

From Alex PA1FOX, SKCC #8265T

This SKSE started off with a nice QRS QSO with Bernard, F5DE, on 80m. I tried several QRS CQ's but apart from him there was no response.

The following action wat mostly on 20m. After one hour, I heared there was some slight TVI. I decided to stop sending and to review the cause of this some other time.

Again, the SKS-E was fun. Had lots of fun working F5DE in QRS mode as well, and QRQ later on another band.

Tnx all!
