Soapbox

From Bob GM3ZDH, SKCC #6027T

Propagation on 14MHz appeared somewhat selective - not a peep from F5DE so only 2 bands this month!! Worked EA3NO (2 bands), F5DE (2 bands), G0RDO, IS0BZR, K8NS, ON4KNP, ON7DQ, OS0S (2 bands) and R7DA.

From John W1TAG, SKCC #15461S

Almost forgot it again. Conditions not the best, and had to go swimming in the middle of it. Ahhh...the sorrows of living at a lake during the summer...

From Curt WA2JSG, SKCC #3018S

Just one for me, Alex R7DA. Only one from Europe I heard in the limited amount of time I had.

From Rick WU1V, SKCC #9293S

Due to surgery, my time on this sprint was limited, but I did bag 6 QSOs over about 30 minutes operating time, including with Russia (Alex R7DA) 5000+ miles away. Band conditions were however quite poor and most contacts were east of the Mississippi (a rare chance to work nearby Maine - John W1TAG). My first Q with Jerry KD0CA took about 15 minutes to complete due to QRN and QSB but we eventually exchanged info!

From John G0RDO, SKCC #2133S

Had 6 QSO's - 5 that count - and was a good fun couple of hours. Thanks to R7DA / Alex, IS0BZR / Franco, F5DE / Bernard (2 bands), J68GD (not a member yet HI) and GM3ZDH / Bob. Due to bodged vertical fishing pole antenna for 80/40m I must apologise to F5DE & GM3ZDH for my erratic signals, caused by poor coil tap connections.

From Dave W3NP, SKCC #3182S

Worked 5 stations in Europe and the rest were US. Wrked some very strong US stations - WU1V and W1TAG as the antenna was pointed right at them on the way to Eu and skip was short as well as long. All QSO's were on 20 meters.

Ran 500 watts with the Elecraft K Line to a KLM KT-34A yagi at 17 meters. Key was the Vibroplex Presentation bug and a German Junker straight key.

Had fun & see you next month. 73, Dave

From Bernard F5DE, SKCC #6247S

One more time it was a pleasure to meet SKCCer during this SKS-E. I contacted SP2SWI, R7DA (2 bands), G4IYC, F8FFI, ON7DQ (2 bands), I3/YO4BSZ/P (NM), EA3NO, F6AXX (NM), IS0BZR, I5EFO, GM3ZDH (2 bands), G0RDO (2 bands), OS0S, ON4KNP, W3NP, K8NS, AH6AX, K0KEX, WA3KCP and AF2Z.

Many thanks to all and see you next time !

G0RDO John, you put always very beautiful photos from different nice keys !

73 de Bernard.

From Rick K0KEX, SKCC #5220S
