Soapbox

From John G0RDO, SKCC #2133T

The first hour was quite good, and I managed 7 QSO's, but the second hour was pretty grim with few sigs and lots of

noise on the bands, and in that hour I only managed 1 QSO. First hour QSO's were: SP6JOE/ Joe on 40m, GM3ZDH/Bob on 80m, SP6JOE/Joe on 80m, OK2VWB/Vasek on 20m, NP3CW/Julio on 20m, WK2S/Art on 20m, 9A2VJ/Vel on 20m, and in the last hour the only QSO was - K4DJ/Rich on 20m.

Rig= TS-440S, 100 watts, 40m & 80m - 20ft tall fishing pole vertical with loading coils & radials. MA6V vert. for 20m.

Morse key - a Marconi smaller modified 365B.

73. John / G0RDO

From Bob GM3ZDH, SKCC #6027T

Finished of this month's SKSE with a QSO with non-member Sven SM5RV who tells me he owns a nice straight key made in 1894.

From Bob K3ZGA, SKCC #12392T

Band Conditions could have been better. Thank to everyone for the contacts, especially EA5IGL, ON5UK and EA3DD (maybe Manu will have an SKCC # next time!) 73, Bob

Rig was Kenwood TS440S, 134 foot inverted L antenna and Kent SP-1 wired as a Cootie key.

From Jim NM1W, SKCC #13718T

my first SKSE, was fun. Enjoyed the QRS with GM3ZDH to start the contest; had to QRT near the end due to TStorm overhead.

From Vasek OK2VWB, SKCC #11812T

After long time quite good conditions.

From Jon K1NV, SKCC #2609T

Even the high geomagnetic activity didn't prevent a few QSO's between Nevada and Europe. ON5UK was quite strong. I heard GM3ZDH and F8APH but no contact was made. One highlight was a QSO with VY0CF in the "Arctic" province. Mike only running 5 watts from his Hudson Bay area QTH.

From BOB AA6AC, SKCC #6276T

CONDITIONS remain at POOR !!! Only few stations herd. TNX to KG7PVT and WL7WH for contact this SKSE. WILL be nice when bands return to useable. AA6AC Bob SOCAL 6276T

From Rick K0KEX, SKCC #5220S

WOW...conditions tough during this one, I listened and called on 20M..final worked Julio NP3CW. Then heard Rob XE1GXG calling CQ..Rob answered but indicated he was not on a St key...Look forward to bands picking up...73 Rick

From Julio NP3CW, SKCC #2632S

All contacts were in 20M band.

This time lucky to work from Europe GM3ZDH, G0RDO, RD8W,DM4MN,F5BSX, IS0USL,HB9CTU and CN8YR.

Heavy QRN on other bands.

Only worked 66 minutes of the event.

Good luck. Julio NP3CW

From Dale K3SEN, SKCC #11463T

Thanks K3ZGA, my only contact. Frustrating! 73 Dale K3SEN

From Bernard F5DE, SKCC #6247S

Being back home late this Thursday, I had only 40 minutes to try some contacts in the event.

Thanks to NM1W Jim, GM3ZDH Bob, K4DJ Rich, K1EDG Ed, W5ZR Bert and N4OW Al, I was elligible for a huge 92 points score !

As usual, it was a pleasure to take part in the SKS-E.

See you next time !

From Ed K1EDG, SKCC #9625S

See everyone next time!
